Cyber Risk Awareness
Board of Directors (BOD), Senior Management, and Top Management have traditionally been focused on business and enterprise risk while security has been looked at as an operational risk. This, however, is now having to change as IT has become pervasive to all aspects of business and correspondingly, security threats have affected business at all levels, from the strategic to day-to-day operations. Our Cyber Risk Awareness offering addresses the requirements of your BOD, senior and top management, to acquaint them with the current cyber security trends and provide them with knowledge to decide on measures to best protect their organisations and meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.
Cyber Drill
A cyber drill is a structured and controlled activity designed to test and improve preparedness and response capabilities in the face of cyber threats and incidents. It is also a regulatory requirements from local regulators such as Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commissions, Labuan FSA etc.
To better understand what a cyber drill is, the term itself can be broken down into two components – Cyber and Drill. The word ‘cyber’ refers to anything related to technology, whereas the word ‘drill’ refers to fixing something in the mind or habit pattern by repetitive practice. By combining these two elements, a simulated exercise that test capabilities to respond effectively to a real-world cyber incident is introduced. It typically involves creating a scenario or series of scenarios that mimic potential cyber threats or attacks and then observing how the organisation’s Incident Response and Crisis Management Team response.
There are also many forms of cyber drills, such as Table-top, Team Simulation, and Cyber Range, with similar objectives but varying scope coverage and depth
